Day Forty-Nine

All moved into my new place, but still busy at work. I recently switched game teams so I’ve been crunching like crazy to get some brand new features into the game. I don’t really have much time right now, but I miss drawing. Lets see if I can get back into some routine.

Drew the first thing I saw in my *new* living room.

Day Forty-Eight

The unimpressive result of my multi-day project that ended up taking a whole month. Sorry for the giant delay, public…but I had a very good excuse. I spent the last month crunching for my first professional video game launch. Technically, the game hasn’t launched YET, but there are still some fun memories attached to this drawing. I pretty much only had enough time each day to ink a couple rows on the panels. I did this every day until this sucker was finished.

Nothing really impressive though, I think. I am glad I laid down the cube in pencil, first, to get the perspective not-too-bad. In the end, I still had a bunch of booboos. The spherical part in the middle is WAY too large and I didn’t really get to play with the lighting/shadows all too much. Oh well! I had fun with it.

Also, I got my weekends back! Now I can finally move on to doing some of the exercises in the books I’ve been reading.

Where’s Day Forty-Eight?

I ran out of paper in my little drawing notepad so switched over to some larger (and more expensive) paper. Instead of doing a quick throwaway drawing for day forty-eight, I chose to do a larger project across multiple days. I think I’ll only count these multiple day projects as one day—otherwise this project will be over sooner than I’d like it to be.

I need a better eraser. Here’s a progress picture from this morning:
